Since its inception in 2007, Suzlon Foundation has impacted the lives of over 2 lakh people in over 1,000 villages across seven states and two Union territories. The foundation identifies the needs of the area along with the villagers and local resources. It has over 50 NGO partners with whom it collaborates to implement the projects.
The programmes implemented are aimed at optimising the positive impacts of business on its surroundings and include the formation and strengthening of self-help groups (SHGs), village development councils and other such committees.
