First Assembly meet on May 23

Chennai, May 19: The first session of the 14th Tamil Nadu Assembly would meet at 12.30 p.m. on May 23, Assembly secretary A M P Jamaludeen announced today. The Assembly would meet in Fort St. George and not the new Assembly complex on Mount Road where the previous two sessions were held.

The newly-elected members would be administered the oath of office and secrecy on that day.

On May 27, elections for the post of Speaker and Deputy Speaker would be held at 9.30 a.m.

Governor Surjit Singh Barnala would deliver his first address to the new Assembly at 10 a.m. on June 3.
