The Puducherry territorial government will soon set up an art gallery so that the artists and those proficient in sculpture and painting have the facility to display their work, Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy today said.
"The Puducherry Arts Association's plea for an art gallery would be met as the government has decided to establish an art gallery," he said distributing prizes to children who had emerged rankers at a painting competition conducted by the Association in Bharathi Park here.
Young talents should be identified and nurtured so that there can demonstrate their skills, he added.
Earlier, Puducherry Lieutenant Governor Dr Iqbal Singh inauguarated the competition and lauded the praised the efforts of the Association.
