Puducherry administration has issued orders for revising bus fare in town and Mofussil buses here.According to sources today, recently Tamil Nadu Government had revised the bus fares and subsequently the fares in the inter-state buses were enhanced.
Now on recommendation from the Transport Department, the administration had issued orders revising tarriff of town and Mofussil buses. Accordingly, minimum fare in the town bus which was Rs two hitherto would go up to Rs three and fifty paise would be charged for each stage (one stage is two km).
In the Mofussil buses, the minimum charge which was Rs three would go up to Rs 4.50 and thereafter an enhancement of 40 paise for a stage.
