State Planning Board of Puducherry, which met here today under the chairmanship of Lt Governor Dr Iqbal Singh, submitted an outlay of Rs 3,961 crores for the fiscal 2012-2013 through a draft plan document formulated at the meeting. The Lt Governor stressed at the meeting that there should be continued efforts on the part of the officials of the departments and members of the Board "to break away from the traditional approach and that they should adopt more pioneering methods in planning He also stressed that development of infrastructures could be taken up through Public Private Partnership mode. Puducherry Chief Minister, N Rangasamy, who is the Vice-Chairman of the Board, Ministers and Leader of the Opposition, V Vaithilingam, were among those present at the meeting.
