The Sri Lankan navy has captured 42 Indian fishermen and six boats from Tamil Nadu.
The captured fishermen from Nagapattinam district were reportedly arrested on January 24 after they allegedly strayed into Lankan waters.
Local authorities have written to the Tamil Nadu government in this regard.
